The Procedure

Delaware Technical & Community College has an open-door admissions policy limited only by the following criteria: a student must be a high school graduate or the equivalent, or at least eighteen years of age and able to benefit from instruction.

Step 1

Submit an Application to the College with a non-refundable application fee payment:

For fast, easy admission into Delaware Tech  apply online

You may also apply by downloading a paper application that can be mailed or submitted to any Campus Admissions Office.

Step 2

Plan Your Educational Financing (if needed).

Step 3

Show College Readiness in One of Four Ways:
1. Take the Accuplacer test in the following subject areas:
___Writing ___Reading ___Math

2. Provide a copy of your SAT or ACT test scores.
3.Provide an official college transcript.
4.Provide documentation of any combination of these methods.
All documentation of college readiness must be submitted to the Campus Admissions Office.

Step 4

Provide Proof of Delaware Residency (if applicable).

  • Submit a copy of your Delaware driver’s license or
  • Submit a copy of your bank statement/pay stub stating you lived/worked in Delaware for the past 6 months

Step 5

Begin planning your education and enroll in courses at the Advisement Center or schedule a meeting with your assigned Academic Advisor.
