GED Program
Delaware Technical & Community College's GED program covers the
five basic areas of study included on the exam - Writing Skills, Social
Studies, Science, Literature and Mathematics. Emphasis is placed
on those areas of study requiring the greatest review.

Operator of Public Pools    $139
This workshop meets the training requirements of an approved pool operator as specified in the State of Delaware regulations on public pools. Course will help owners, life guards and managers. Learn
about swimming pool maintenance and cost effective operations.
Topics covered: filtrations, sanitation, ph/water balance, testing,
spas trouble-shooting, emergency procedures and discussion on application of Delaware regulations.

Italian - Level I     $119
This course will introduce you to the beauty of the Italian language and culture. Emphasis is on basic vocabulary and phrases. Cultural awareness built into each lesson. Your instructor will share their passion for their homeland with you.

Spanish - Level I     $119
This course is designed for the beginning adult who wants to use Spanish in their work, travel or at home. The emphasis is on learning basic conversational Spanish with practice in real life situations, particularly those encountered at work. Textbook additional.

Spanish - Level II     $119
Continued study and understanding of Spanish for the beginning
adult who wants to use the language at home, at work, or for travel. Primary emphasis is upon communicative proficiency - meeting and greeting people, asking directions, sopping, dining and conducting simple business transactions. Appreciation and understanding of Hispanic/Latino culture are an integral part of the course.
Pre-requisite: Spanish Level I

Spanish - Level III     
A conversational course designed for students of Spanish with a
basic knowledge of the language. A continuation of Spanish for Conversation I & II, it will enable the students to extend vocabulary and improve conversational and reading skills, resulting in increased self-expression and greater understanding of native speech.
Pre-requisite: Spanish Level II

This course will emphasize spoken and written Spanish, featuring vocabulary and communicative structures most relevant for class-
room situations. Both listening and speaking skills will receive
primary focus. Attention will be given to the formation of questions
and commands to facilitate classroom management. Basic subject-specific vocabulary will also be presented. Appreciation and under-standing of the Hispanic/Latino culture is an integral part of the course. Textbook additional.

Spanish for Criminal Justice Professionals     
This course emphasizes spoken Spanish. Both listening and speaking skills will receive primary focus. Attention will be given to
the formation of questions to facilitate communication under stressful situations. Basic subject-specific vocabulary will also be presented. Appreciation and understanding of the Hispanic/Latino culture is an integral part of the course. Previous Spanish experience is helpful,
but not required. Textbook additional.

EPA 608 Training     $100
This eight-hour course is designed to help individuals who are knowledgeable in air-conditioning equipment pass the EPA Exam.
The course materials provided with this course will be covered in two four-hour sessions.

OSHA Construction Safety Course     $80
This is the 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Outreach program. Several large companies in the area recognize the training as
meeting their safety requirements for working as a contractor on
their particular site(s).

This one night, 2.5-hour course serves as a yearly refresher.

Forklift Operation/Safety Certification     $150
This course is designed to meet OSHA standards by providing
students with the safety and operational knowledge and skills
required to operate a forklift safely. Each participant will be required
to capably operate through a course designed to demonstrate operational skills.
