a native language by over 250 million people worldwide. Arabic script is used in a variety of non-Arabic languages, including Urdu, Punjabi, Kurdish and Farsi. Arabic - Level III
Designed for students with knowledge of the fundamentals of Arabic, this course will begin with a review of vocabulary, writing skills, and comprehension. Students will review through speed exercises, which will strongly increase confidence and conversational flow. The breadth of the course will then focus on the reading of basic conversations between Arabic speakers. This method will improve reading speed, vocabulary, pronunciation, and the understanding of the mechanics
of grammar. Students will be quizzed weekly on vocabulary, and will be asked to translate basic dialogs into English.
