Refund:
If you are unable to attend a non-credit course in which you are enrolled, you may request a refund from Corporate and Community Programs. For full refund consideration, a request must be received 72 hours prior to the first class. If you withdraw from the course within the first week, you may be eligible to receive a 75% refund. Refunds are not given for courses with 3 or fewer sessions with the exception of the above 72-hour refund request. Please note that there are some courses with different refund guidelines. (For example, cancellation for WIA non-credit certificate workforce programs is the same as for credit classes.) Please note that refunds for payments made by check may take a minimum of six weeks to process.
Cancellation:
Classes will be cancelled if a minimum number of full-paying students have not registered.
Enrollment:
You are enrolled upon receipt of payment, provided there is space in the class. You will be contacted if there is a problem.
Tax Deductions/Credit:
An income tax deduction may be permitted for educational expenses incurred while maintaining and improving professional skills. Consult a tax specialist for more information.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) Awards:
The CEU (Continuing Education Unit) is a nationally accepted standard for non-credit continuing education courses. A certificate is awarded upon successful completion and can be used as a reference for job promotion or hiring. Designated non-credit professional development courses are CEU certified.
Students attending a class that meets for more than two weeks will need to obtain a free Delaware Tech ID badge from the Public Safety Office. |
