The Arts Scene
Having trouble locating anything artistically redeeming in Delaware? You
aren't the only one! Hope these pages help your efforts...

Wow, *FINALLY*. This site is incredible. The big question is, will they
keep it up. Maintaining web pages can sure get boring after a while, especially
when it has to be updated once a week! [reviewed: 21jan97]
Performing Arts
"Bringing Musical Theater to Central Delaware for over 40 years" says their
web page. Includes information on their current or upcoming production.
[reviewed: 14sep96]
Site features information about upcoming events, including their 96-97
season. The page is very attractive, but loaded with pictures. If you
just want fast information from the site, turn off your image loading
before visiting the site. [reviewed: 22sep96]
Lots of useful information, but unfortunately, as is with more
and more web pages
these days, it hasn't been kept current. Concerts listed run from March
to August of '96. Some pages say "under construction" but haven't been
touched since May. [reviewed: 21sep96]
This web site has been recently updated with a list of shows running through
Spring of '97. Also included are photos of some of their sets.

One of Delaware's top tourist attractions! I actually live so close to this
place that I can smell the sweet perfume of diesel fumes from
the numerous out-of-state tour buses that idle in front of the place on
show nights. Site includes information about their current shows.

Local Bands
Aren't you tired of the same old cruft they play on local radio over and
over and over again? Go out and support some local musicians and get
some variety in your life! The cost of a link here is simply to keep your
stuff on your web site current. I dropped a few sites that appeared to be
dead for several months.... Not too much to ask, is it guys?!
"Emotionally-charged down your throat music." Site includes concert
listings, and information about how to order their CDs. [reviewed: 14sep96]
With a name like Love Seed Mama Jump, you know it's good. This
site is really packed with information. Worth a special trip to see the
site. (I'm sure the band would appreciate a non-virtual visit as well!)
[reviewed: 14sep96]
Site includes sound samples from some of their songs and tour information.
Nifty stuff! [reviewed: 14sep96]
The band that claims to live up to its name! They have some sound clips
on their web site. Give 'em a listen and decide for yourself!
[reviewed: 14sep96]
Site has tour dates and samples of their music available for download.
[reviewed: 22feb97]
Music Related Organizations
Folk and Bluegrass music. Includes information about festivals and membership
information. [reviewed: 14sep96]
Somewhat boring looking web pages (just like these are!). Has concert
information, which seems up-to-date (but has lots of old listings too).
[reviewed: 21sep96]
Commercial Resources
A local record company. Too cool, but it it appears to be yet another
cobweb site. Member tour info is out-of-date for example. [reviewed: 21sep96]
Concert Listings / Ticket Info
This is a neat site. The above link gives you concert listings for the
entire state. Once there, you can limit searches to just performers,
venues, or cities. Always up-to-date [reviewed: 21sep96]
Not much here, but it is at least kept up-to-date. It's actually part of
a much larger web site done by Dirty Linen magazine. Loads of information
elsewhere in the site. So grok the listing of Folk Concerts in Delaware,
then click on the home page link. [reviewed: 21sep96]
Ticket and show information on sporting events, arts, and concerts in
Delaware. Not much, but that's not too much of a surprise now, is it?
A very impressive and comprehensive site. You can even order tickets
on-line two hours before other agencies are allowed to sell them!
