Distributed Education

Delaware Technical & Community College also offers learner-centered courses which integrate different technologies that enable asynchronous and synchronous interaction. These courses provide instructors with the flexibility to customize the learning environment. All distributed learning courses require students to meet on campus for at least 50% of the scheduled class time. The remaining time is spent in discussion forums, online group work, communicating through email, or online testing. These classes are designated with a ‘D’ in the registration booklet and have the class meeting dates and times listed. Students are required to have computer access and email to take a distributed learning class.
