COLLEGE PLANNING COUNCIL MISSION AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Planning Council Mission
The mission of the College Planning Council and the Campus Planning Councils is to support student learning through four core processes: planning, assessing, reporting, and budgeting. The components of the mission are reflected by the following accountabilities:
Planning Council Accountabilities

Research and analyze trends and emerging directions in order to provide leadership in ongoing plan development to support student learning |

EVALUATE |
Evaluate effectiveness of core processes and develop strategies to continually improve support of student learning |

LINK |
Provide coordination to link core processes between College Planning Council and Campus Planning Councils/ Office of the President Council(for matrix groups) ensuring a cohesive one college implementation |

EDUCATE |
Develop strategies to teach core processes and serve as resource for others to learn |
| 5 |
PROMOTE |
Communicate and promote core processes in order to motivate and facilitate involvement of the college community in support of student learning |

MANAGE |
Develop and oversee calendar and document preparation |

Core Processes
The four Core Processes are:
- Planning
- Assessing
- Reporting
- Budgeting
College Planning Council Intended Outcomes
- Students are supported in learning by College plans and resource allocations.
- The Core Processes are consistent and well aligned collegewide.
- The Core Processes are well structured, useful and relevant.
- The Core Processes are well understood by all employees.
- Faculty and staff at all levels participate in all Core Processes.
- The Core Processes give the College clear direction for the future.
- The College Mission is validated by assessed outcomes.
- College Plans are validated by achievements.
- The College is perceived as directed and accountable by external constituents.

- There are two types of annual operational plans which detail the actions or objectives to be implemented in a fiscal year with assigned resource allocations. These two plans are:
- COLLEGE PLAN (Three Years With Annual Review)
- CAMPUS PLANS
- The operational plans are developed by writing objectives (how to do it) for goals (what to do)
