POSITION TITLE: Regular, Part-Time Classroom Technology Technician
PAY GRADE: C11; $16.33/hr
CLOSING DATE AND TIME: A completed Delaware Tech employment application must be received by the Human Resources Office in order to be considered for this position. This position will remain open until an adequate pool of applications is received.
The incumbent in this position is responsible for monitoring the operation, installation and maintenance involved in the administration of Audio/Visual (AV) systems both networked and stand alone and provides end user support for AV systems.
Knowledge of current technology relating to audio and video transmission equipment
Knowledge of audio and video systems theory and applications
Knowledge of video production control room facilities, studio and EFP (electronic filed production) equipment and best practices
Knowledge of satellite receivers and associated test and measurement equipment
Knowledge of PC operating systems, including installation and troubleshooting
Knowledge of College policies and procedures and inventory control
Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance on broadcast quality production
Knowledge of hardware and software packages used in audio and video transmission
Knowledge of satellite downlink operations. (The College does not have the ability to uplink)
Knowledge of the theory, components, configurations and operation of television and media equipment
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to analyze problems, formulate solutions and manages projects
Ability to install and utilize specialized test and measurement equipment
Ability to use small hand tools and power equipment
Ability to troubleshoot satellite and IP video transmission or reception problems
Ability to train technicians and to provide technical support to the video production staff
Ability to assist with design and implement modifications to existing television and multimedia facilities
Ability to read and generate block and schematic diagrams
