POSITION TITLE: English Instructor
PAY GRADE: A00; Salary to be determined by relevant education and experience
CLOSING DATE AND TIME: A completed Delaware Tech employment application must be received by the Human Resources Office in order to be considered for this position. This position will remain open until an adequate pool of applications is received.
The incumbent in this position is responsible for teaching the full range of English and reading courses for the Wilmington Campus. The incumbent will also participate in retention strategies, including courses in Student Success Strategies and the First Year Experience (FYE) program. In addition, the incumbent should possess communication skills that will facilitate the delivery of FYE programs and activities to a diverse student body. A Master’s degree in English or English Education is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Four (4) years of relevant experience.
Ability to effectively communicate subject matter content and to relate to a diverse population in a multicultural environment.
