In early 2006, Delaware Tech began our Shaping the Future Campaign in order to raise $4.2 million that would be used to help shape the future of Delaware. By enhancing the educational experience of our students through the contributions we receive, our goal is to invest in the future of our communities…to invest in the students who live and will work in our state, men and women who are members of our communities and role models for future generations. It’s the seeds we plant now that will enable all of us to reap the benefits for years to come.
FULFILLING A NEED
Only 55% of the College budget is supported by state funds. The remainder must be supplemented by tuition, fees, and community support. The Shaping the Future Campaign will help us close this gap.
WE ALL BENEFIT
On Delaware Tech’s campuses, we have students as young as five years old attending our Corporate and Community Programs summer camps and as old as 68 graduating from our Associate Degree Programs. No matter the age, Delaware Tech knows that students who complete our programs are going to shape the future of our state because 92% of them live in Delaware.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Funds raised through the generous gifts of foundations, corporations, employees, alumni, and friends will bolster the climate of learning on every campus. Under the leadership of Dr. Barbara Ridgely, Acting Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement, our goal is to raise funds over the next three years for the following projects:
· Lab and Technology Equipment -- $3.6 million
· Library Support – $240,000
· Faculty Innovation Grants -- $70,000
· Study Abroad Scholarships -- $90,000
· Camp Scholarships -- $200,000
