Delaware Tech students are training for high-demand careers in such areas as health, engineering technology, biotechnology, computer science and other technical and industrial fields. Advisory committees for each technology program recommend the kinds of skills and competencies our graduates need to be successful. These area business and industry leaders repeatedly tell us that graduates must be adept at using sophisticated technology. In addition, employers expect our students to have experience using the most current computer software and technology.
Providing state-of-the-art technology is an expensive challenge for the College. For example, human patient simulators, which help students in the nursing, respiratory therapy and emergency medical technology programs learn critical diagnostic techniques, cost between $30,000 and $80,000 each.
