Michael
Buoni has fourteen years of teaching experience.
He has taught Biology, Chemistry, Physics,
Physical Science, Algebra I, Algebra II, and
Geometry at the high school level. He was an
adjunct professor at Delaware Tech in Biology
and Biotechnology and taught a graduate level
Mathematics course for the University of
Delaware.
Michael
has assisted in the curriculum development of
the state biology units as well as served on
several state-level committees on assessment and
instruction.
Michael
Buoni was the 2002 Alexis I duPont High School
Teacher of the year, the 2006 Cape Henlopen High
School Teacher of the year, and the 2007 Cape
Henlopen School District Teacher of the Year. In
addition, he was the recipient of the 2004
Excellence in Education "Grant of the Year"
proposal for his work with technology in the
classroom.
Michael
has worked the last three years as a Secondary
Teaching Specialist for the Southern Delaware
Professional Development Center at the
University of Delaware in Georgetown, DE.
He is currently pursuing his doctorate degree in
Curriculum and Instruction from the University
of Delaware.
