| Engineering Drafting Technology |
| Welcome to the Engineering Technologies Department. In the Engineering Drafting Technology (CAD) program you can expect to learn how to develop and present design ideas using 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) and parametric modeling software. The program does not concentrate on any one discipline and instead covers the basic principles, standards and codes for computer generated engineering drawings in the fields of architecture, civil, mechanical, and electronics engineering design. Graduates of this program will be prepared to translate ideas, sketches, calculations, and specifications into accurate 2-D and 3-D drawings. Support courses in computers, mathematics, technical writing, and social sciences give the graduate the broad academic background for further studies and/or career advancement. |
