| Environmental - Water/Waste Water: Welcome to the Engineering Technologies Department. The Environmental Water & Wastewater Technology program enables students to develop a broad working knowledge in the processes and operation of water and wastewater treatment facilities. The curriculum is structured to match the current practices, codes and guidelines from regulatory agencies. The students will learn:
*Environmental issues related to the water/wastewater industry
*Analysis and testing of water/wastewater systems
*Water/wastewater system design and operational parameters
*Water distribution and collection system design
*The standards and codes related to water and wastewater quality
*Management aspects of maintaining a facility
*Maintenance and repair of equipment.
The program has been designed so that graduates are prepared to begin the State of Delaware water and wastewater operator licensure process.
Support courses in computers, mathematics, technical writing, and social sciences give the graduate the broad academic background for further studies and/or career advancement.
You can enroll on a full-time, part-time, day or evening basis.
Several of the environmental courses are available only in the evening.
