Katie Offen - Through the gym at Delaware Tech, I received advice on weight training and proper exercise techniques, which caused me to seek information on training in a more healthy way. I began attending the gym on a regular basis and continued to gain a stronger interest and understanding of fitness and nutrition. I am thankful for the many life changing experiences I have had at Delaware Tech and I am eager to share my experiences and knowledge with others.
Katie Offen has had an interest in fitness since she was 11 years old, but it wasn’t until she started training at Delaware Tech that she realized the way she was training – well, it wasn’t exactly healthy. Facing a cycle of anorexia, binge eating, and obsessive exercise, Katie took the advice she received at Delaware Tech to heart and has now obtained certificates allowing her to work as a personal trainer and nutrition counselor. She now views her life with a new purpose and has a strong desire to help others live happier, healthier lives.
