Bonnie Atkins, Department Chair

Bonnie AtkinsMrs. Atkins has been an instructor in the CIS department since 1982 and was promoted to department chair in March 1998. A native Sussex Countian, she is a 1970 graduate of Delaware Tech with an associate degree in data processing. She obtained her bachelor's degree in management information systems from Wilmington College in 1988 and earned her MBA from Wilmington College in 1994. Prior to working at Delaware Tech, Mrs. Atkins was employed at NCR in Millsboro, working her way up from clerk typist to programmer analyst. She also spent a year programming for International Playtex in Dover. In her spare time, Mrs. Atkins enjoys reading, bowling, and fishing.

Ken Custer, Instructor

Ken CusterMr. Custer, a native of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, has been an instructor at Delaware Tech since August 1998. Before coming to the Owens Campus, Mr. Custer lived in southern Florida and was employed at Broward Community College. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida and earned his MCSE certification in 1999. Mr. Custer enjoys photography, diving, and shooting in his spare time. Ask him about his days as a rock musician with his band, The Cookies!

Leslie Vincent, Instructor

Leslie VincentMs. Vincent relocated to the shores of Delaware in 1999 to escape the city life of Philadelphia. Born and raised as a military brat, she is a 1980 graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in systems engineering, and recently earned her masters of education in applied technology from Wilmington College. Before coming to Delaware Tech, Ms. Vincent worked as an engineering programmer, taught and directed computer and networking education programs for several corporations and colleges, and ran her own business. She has earned Novell and Network+ certifications and is working on her Linux+ certification. Ms. Vincent enjoys working on her home and garden, spending time with her family and friends, and dancing - salsa, merengue, and swing.

Brian Lord, Instructor

Brian LordMr. Lord, a native Delawarean, is a graduate of Wilmington College with a bachelor of science degree in information resource management. He is also a graduate of Delaware Technical & Community College with an associate in applied science degree in computer information systems and a diploma in general microcomputer studies. Before coming to work at Delaware Technical & Community College in January 2001, Mr. Lord was employed by Kent County, Delaware, as a programmer/analyst. Mr. Lord enjoys playing and coaching golf, shooting sporting clays, and collecting wildlife art. You might want to ask him about taking some laps around a super speedway in a Nextel Cup racecar.

Suzanne McKaskill, Instructor

Suzanne McKaskillMs. McKaskill grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from Delaware Tech in 1997 with an associate in applied science degree in microcomputers and networking. Ms. McKaskill went on to earn her bachelor of science degree in computer information systems at Goldey-Beacom College and recently graduated from Wilmington College with a master of education degree in applied technology. Before coming to Delaware Tech in August 2001, Ms. McKaskill worked as a technical support specialist at Intervet, Inc. in Millsboro. She loves music, reading, traveling, and spending time with her son, Zane.
