Fashion Show Benefit - All proceeds from the event will fund study abroad scholarships for Owens Campus students. These opportunities enable our students to acquire an international outlook, provide them with a competitive edge in the global job market and prepare them to work and live in a culturally diverse world.

reigning Mrs. Delaware.
On the evening of Sunday, January 25, 2009, Cacia Batts, of Middletown, was crowned Mrs. Delaware 2009. It was her second attempt to win the title, having placed as the 2nd runner up in the 2006 Mrs. Delaware Pageant. She will now embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, serving as a role model for Delaware’s married woman and representing the Small Wonder state at the Mrs. America Pageant in September.
Cacia has been married to Ali Betts for 3 years and is the stepmother of two daughters, Avian and Alia. She received a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Wilmington University and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Human Services. She is employed as a legal assistant with Potter Anderson Corroon LLP in Wilmington, DE.
Cacia’s community involvement includes volunteering for the American Heart Association and the MS Society, and mentoring children at the East Side Charter Elementary School. Additionally, she serves as a judge for the annual AIDS Delaware Teen Idol competition and enjoys singing, motivational speaking and genealogy.
Unique Facts: auditioned for American Idol, starred in the movie “Head of State” with Chris Rock, was a contestant on the show “Change of Heart,” dancer for the Wilmington Blue Rocks half-time show
Mrs. Batts will compete in the Mrs. America Pageant, September 1-8, 2009 in Tucson, Arizona.
