Study abroad testimonials from Delaware Tech students:
The Russia trip was amazing. I saw things and participated in activities that I thought I would never be able to do. One of the most surprising things about the trip was how much Americans and Russians are alike. The best part of the trip was when we got to spend a day in Moscow with all the other conference participants. This was when I actually had time to talk one on one with most of the students. Most of the time the students just wanted to here about America and what are some everyday things that we do there. To make a long story short the trip to Russia was amazing and it was a great way to break into the vast world of travel.
- Sean McDaniel
“Even though I have not completed my studies to become a nurse, this trip made me want to be a nurse even more and possibility venture out into the world helping less fortunate and special needs children in a completely different way than I would have before this trip”
- Brooke Fleetwood, Nursing student
“The trip was great—a real life visit to a foreign country, not just a TV show!”
- Melody Johnson, OTA student
“This trip was honestly the most educating 2 weeks of my life as well as the most enjoyable 2 weeks of my life.”
- Melody Bradley, Early Childhood Education student
I had no predetermined thoughts or feelings about Russia before I went. Now, upon returning, I have nothing but positive thoughts about my experience. The architecture was amazing and unlike anything I have ever seen. The inside of the churches took your breath away. The nuns were busy getting the interior ready for Easter. The history and struggles of the people is something everyone should learn about. I enjoyed talking to our interpreters, both young and old to hear their views on their country and ours. Everyone appeared to be very hard working and respectful in mannerisms. Fashion was always on the forefront. No one appeared to dress down, but up, everywhere they went. The school that welcomed us did so very graciously, opening up not only their school, but their homes. They put on the most entertaining talent show I have seen in years.
"I am very thankful I was able to have such an experience. Nothing but great things to say about a country I knew very little about..."
