The Learning Resource Center (LRC) is an educational lending library.  It is part of the Delaware Learning Resource System (DLRS), a statewide network of centers that provide resources and services to educators of children.  The DLRS is federally funded through a contract with the Delaware Department of Education, Division of Exceptional Children and Early Childhood Education.

The DLRS has three institutional centers, one in each of Delaware's three counties.  The Learning Resource Center in Sussex County is located in the Child Development Center on the Jack F. Owens Campus of Delaware Technical & Community College.  The Kent County Center is located at the John Collette Building in Dover, and the New Castle Center is housed within the Education Resource Center at the University of Delaware in Newark.

The collection materials from each center are available for loan at no cost to the borrower.  Patrons must register with the center before borrowing materials.  Materials circulate for a two-week period and may be renewed upon request.  Materials can be sent via state mail to educators with access to a state mail address.  View our online catalog.

The Sussex County location hosts two other organizations: Delaware Teacher Center and The Family & Workplace Connection.   This partnership enables a wider range of resources and services to users of the Learning Resource Center.

There is a nominal fee for some services.
