Although the programs are rigorous, the faculty is dedicated to the students’ success. Representing various nursing programs throughout the country, our diverse full-time faculty has been educated at the masters and doctorate level. Many faculty are nationally certified and all provide instruction in their area of specialization.

Nursing StudentTo further enhance our students’ success, our faculty includes a Retention & Recruitment Instructor who provides tutoring to individuals or small groups and assists with developing an individual study plan. A Clinical Lab Instructor develops and implements experiences to further develop students nursing skills in our state of the art laboratory facilities.

The nursing students build camaraderie and begin networking through our student organizations. Owens campus has an active Student Nurses Association (SNA) which is a pre-professional organization that promotes leadership in nursing. In 2005 we won the School Spirit award and one of our nursing students was voted Delaware Student Nurse of the Year. Many nursing students are members of Phi Theta Kappa which is a national honor society that serves to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students.
