Chautauqua, N.Y.---Jeff Braswell, a first-year member of Delaware Tech' s golf team, finished fourth in the nation at the NJCAA Division III National Golf Championship held June 1-6 at Chautauqua (N.Y.) Golf Club.
Braswell fired a final round of 73 on Friday, June 6, to complete the four-day, 72-hole tourney with a total score of 299. On day one, Braswell opened with a 72 and shot a 77 on days two and three.
Since 1999, Jamestown Community College (N.Y.) has hosted the NJCAA National golf Championships and has qualifiers from over 20 states and 40 colleges. There were over 100 athletes at this year' s tournament.
Braswell, a Stephen Decatur (Md.) graduate, earned All-American honors with his fourth-place finish.
