OWENS CAMPUS TEACHING RESOURCE CENTER MISSION

The mission of the Owens Campus Teaching Resource Center is to enhance faculty learning and the quality of the student learning experience by promoting excellence in instruction. The goals of the Center are to:

• Provide faculty with the opportunity for professional development through programs and activities designed to meet faculty needs thus promoting effective teaching and a quality education for students at the Owens Campus.

• Support student centered and competency-based learning as the instruction foundation for all programs.

• Promote faculty in developing student skills in accessing, retrieving and integrating information electronically and across distances.

• Provide faculty training in the use of student centered learning,  innovative instructional methods, education technology and distance learning.

• Support the comprehensive services and activities associated with distance learning and education technology.
