| Campus Director's Message as of 2/6/08 On Wednesday, February 6, Dr. George made his yearly appearance before the Joint Finance Committee. It was a very productive morning, with members of the committee asking some very tough questions. Dr. George rose to the occasion and did a masterful job highlighting the many accomplishments of Delaware Tech and of reaffirming the positive image that Delaware Tech enjoys throughout the State of Delaware. Senator McBride commended Dr. George for a “stimulating and informing presentation” and Representative Williams added, “Great job. I always enjoy your presentation.” I think Representative Miro summed it up best when he said: “Refreshing. We are on the same page for a lot of topics. I think you are meeting your responsibility and the challenge of educating Delawareans.” Dr. George’s remarks were very well received by the members of the committee, the many of whom praised Delaware Tech. However, we were exceptionally proud when we heard several legislators from New Castle County make a point to compliment the Stanton/Wilmington Campus for its service to the community and its commitment and dedication to excellence in providing a quality education to our students. We cannot express enough how grateful and proud of all of you we are for the wonderful job you do here at the Stanton/Wilmington Campus.
