CAD Technology hosts 19th Annual Drafting Competition as of 4/11/08
Students from 12 area high schools had the opportunity to show off their mechanical drafting skills in the 19th Annual Drafting Competition hosted by the Stanton Computer Aided Drafting Department. The students were given a mechanical drafting problem and had 5 hours of class time to solve it. Contestants were judged by Delaware Tech faculty in both manual drawing and computer-aided drafting divisions. Top winners from each school were awarded and overall winners were chosen from that group. Winners were recognized at an ceremony at Stanton on Wednesday, April 9. The top winners from each school received computer-aided drafting software and a plaque engraved with their names. Overall winners received partial Delaware Tech scholarships, savings bonds and 3 different drafting software packages.
