College Placement Test Help
On entry to Delaware Tech some students are required to take a College Placement Test (CPT) to help determine course placement. The test covers English (Literacy) and Math skills. The test is done on a computer, is not timed, and is very user-friendly. The literacy portion of the test is composed of two parts: reading comprehension and sentence skills. To help you practice and become familiar with the tests, particularly the literacy portion, the following websites offer samples which you can take online.

Please bear in mind that these websites are from other colleges and are only meant to offer an indication of the Delaware Tech CPT. Obviously college policies and requirements are not identical.

Nursing Information Sessions
All sessions will be held at Stanton Campus. Up-coming dates are listed below.

Delaware Tech Stanton Campus requires that anyone interested in entering the Associate Degree Nursing Program attend an Informational Session. The purpose of this session is to provide vital information about the Program admissions policies and procedures. In order to be considered for acceptance into the Nursing Program, each applicant must fulfill all admissions requirements outlined by Delaware Technical and Community College.

Reservations are not required but seating is limited! No one will be admitted after the presentation begins. All Nursing Information Sessions are held in the Conference Center at the Stanton Campus and last approximately one hour.

Interested in Nursing? Let us help you!

1. Attend a Nursing Informational Session (may attend before or after applying to the College). You will receive a Nursing Admissions Handbook along with discussion of the admissions process to the program.

2. Submit an application to the Admissions Office and schedule the college placement test (CPT). Students transferring from other colleges must submit an official transcript for evaluation. However, you may bring an unofficial transcript with you to Admissions for review by a counselor to ascertain whether a portion or the complete placement test is necessary. All applicants must submit a high school transcript.

3. Take the college placement test (in Admissions) and schedule an appointment with Admissions to meet with an undeclared counselor.

4. Meet with a counselor to review test scores, discuss College placement and/or register for classes.

Call (302) 888-5288 today for additional information.
