New Student Scholarships
You may use the Scholarship Application to apply for any or all of the following scholarships.
Please read the scholarship requirements carefully before you submit your application. Only students enrolled in technology program courses qualify for scholarships.
The College reserves the right to reduce scholarship awards because of outside scholarship resources received by the recipient. Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid.

Board of Trustees Scholarship Program
Trustee Scholarship Program Guidelines
1. Each scholarship category will not necessarily be awarded each year. Multiple awards could be made in any one category each year at each campus at the discretion of the Vice President and Campus Director.
2. Partial and full scholarships will be awarded for tuition for the student's program of study at Delaware Technical & Community College.
3. Scholarship awards will follow the financial aid calendar and process of the College. The Recognition, and Holloway scholarships will be awarded once a year to become effective in the Fall Semester. Access Scholarships will be awarded throughout the year.
4. Must be a resident of Delaware as defined in college catalog.
5. Applicants must apply for financial aid.
Trustee Recognition Scholarship
The Trustee Recognition Scholarship is administered by the Vice President and Campus Director and is awarded through nomination only. This scholarship recognizes unique accomplishments or outstanding contributions to the community which may include community service, heroism, leadership, etc. Recipients may enroll full- or part-time.
James C. Holloway, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
The James C. Holloway, Jr. Memorial Scholarship recognizes new or returning full-time students who are both residents of the City of Wilmington and have a demonstrated financial need either through the federal technical definition of demonstrated need or through documented hardship as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Recognizing the amount of time Mr. Holloway provided to the City of Wilmington and its residents, special consideration will be given to those individuals who have performed community service within the City of Wilmington.
Applicants for the James C. Holloway, Jr. Memorial Scholarship must demonstrate:
1. The Federal technical definition of demonstrated need; or
2. Documented hardship as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
Trustee Access Scholarship
The Access Scholarship is a one-time award for up to one academic year for students who demonstrate financial need.
Applicants for Trustee Access Scholarship must demonstrate:
1. The Federal technical definition of demonstrated need; or
2. Documented hardship as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
High School Academic Incentive Scholarships
Full tuition (nonrenewable)
1. Be a United States citizen and a Delaware resident as defined in the College catalog
2. Have at least a 3.0 grade point average and graduate in June, 2008
3. Submit an admissions application and a high school transcript to the Delaware Tech Admissions Office
4. Receive satisfactory scores on the Admissions Placement Test
5. Be accepted into an Associate Degree program and enroll for at least 6 credits at the Stanton/Wilmington Campus
6. Submit a letter of recommendation from your high school principal, guidance counselor, or teacher
Alumni Association of New Castle County Scholarships Variable (renewable)
1. Be a United States citizen and live in New Castle County
2. Have at least a 2.5 grade point average and graduate in June, 2008
3. Submit an admissions application and a high school transcript to the Delaware Tech Admissions Office
4. Receive satisfactory scores on the Admissions Placement Test
5. Be accepted into an Associate Degree program and enroll full-time at the Stanton or Wilmington Campus
6. Submit a letter of recommendation from your high school principal, guidance counselor, or teacher
Educational Foundation Scholarships-$1,000 (nonrenewable)
1. Must have earned a high school diploma or GED
2. Must be a first time Delaware Tech student at the Stanton/Wilmington Campus
3. Receive satisfactory scores on the Admissions Placement Test
4. Be accepted into an Associate Degree program on either a full-time or part-time basis (6 credits minimum)
5. Submit a reference letter from an employer, community leader or other individual who can recommend you for the scholarship
