The Delaware Higher
Educational Commission (DHEC)

DHEC administers financial aid programs for the State of Delaware for students interested in pursuing a higher education. There are three programs in particular which may be of interest to you:

1. Delaware Post-secondary Fund. This is a grant which eligible students may use at any of the higher education institutions in the state. In some cases, this grant may be used at institutions out-of-state.

2. Nursing Scholarship/Loan Program.
For aspiring nurses who wish to study at participating higher education institutions in the State of Delaware. Under some conditions, the money is considered a scholarship; under other conditions, the money is considered a loan.

3. Workforce Training Grants.
This is an excellent program for eligible students who are interested in attending less than full-time.

Contact DHEC at
577-3240 for details.

The cost of college education should not keep you from reaching your goals. At Delaware Technical & Community College, we believe that quality higher education should be within the financial reach of every member of our community.

If you are eligible, a variety of sources can help you pay for college. Financial aid may be used for tuition, fees, books, transportation and an allowance for living costs. It can help make your dream of a college degree a reality.

Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid. You need to apply in order for the campus to determine your eligibility.
