1. Ken pointed out that the Middle States survey indicated that there was an imbalance of services between Stanton and Wilmington. Kay will send the Middle States Technology portion of the survey to Ken so that he can use those questions for comparison. The Joint Committee will administer the survey which Ken would like to get out this semester.
2. Ken will ask Collegewide Services about the possibility of posting the address of a website which offers cheap software on the college Intranet page.
3. Rob said not enough people access Edge meaning a lot of helpful information is not accessed, and a lot of information is generated on paper when it could be put on Edge. There is no way to force people to use the system. Ken said the college is working towards “integrated authentication” which might mean more people will access Edge.
4. The problem with delays of new adjunct logon lies not with computer services, but with Human Resources. It was felt that contracts need to be processed faster. Alison to contact Human Resources.
5. Other questions on the Minutes (# 6, 7, 8) were answered online.
6. In other business two workshops were proposed: Rob would like one on telephone security, access, updates etc; Ken and other members of the Tech. Services were asked to run an informational session similar to the one sponsored by the TRC in Stanton. Those attending said it was beneficial. Ken to send Alison his calendar to coordinate session.
7. Alison to contact registration in Stanton about delay in logon for Blackboard for some instructors (concern raised by nurses). Ken to contact Blackboard administrator about this issue.
