2009 Staff Senate Recognition Award Recipients

This committee accepts the responsibility of acting as a consultant to any member of the Staff Organization who wishes to nominate another for Collegewide awards such as, but not limited to, the Excellence in Service Award.

• Awards/Scholarships:

What is the Staff Senate scholarship? The purpose of the scholarship is to provide one or more scholarship awards to Plan B and C staff members of Delaware Technical & Community College, Stanton/Wilmington Campus. These may include financial support that consists of payment for student tuition, fees, books, certification, and/or other direct educational expenses that relate to the recipients' degree or training program which is not otherwise covered by the existing Delaware Technical & Community College educational benefit. The scholarship award/s, totaling a maximum of $400 per year, will be granted by the Staff Senate Scholarship Committee upon the availability of funds.

• Staff Senate Recognition Award:

The Staff Senate is proud of the people we serve! Thus, we want to again publicly recognize the contributions, achievements, dedication and talents of our salary Plan B and Plan C Del Tech Stanton/Wilmington employees through the Staff Senate Recognition Award.  This award honors those Plan B and C members who exemplify the highest standards of excellence and commitment to the College community.  We are asking for nominations for regular full-time Plan B and regular part-time salary Plan C staff members.  Nominations must be submitted to Debbie Leech, Stanton Campus room A174 or emailed to dleech@dtcc.edu on or before July 21, 2009. Once received, the Staff Senate Chairperson/Vice Chairperson and members of the Awards Committee will review all nominations. There will be one award each for the Stanton and Wilmington Campus.
