AUGUST 24, 2001 Minutes

1. Website Up-Date Catt gave an up-date after her meeting with Mary Jane Arden. Our tenative goal is to have the web page up by August 16, 2001.

2. Secretaries Day Report (Reimbursements) Patsy reported on the success of the activity and indicated that no reimbursement requests had been submitted. The Seantors who had spent money on this project were not interested in being reimbursed since it was such a positive event. My thanks to those generous and hard-working "B's" who made this possible.

3. August In-Service The Advocate (our Newsletter) will be ready for distribution at the August 16th in-service. We hope to be able to set up a table with givaways.

4. Brainstorm for Future Activities Much discussion on possible activities, i.e., October: Breast Awareness; November: Smoking Clinic, co-sponsorship with Human Resources for Tech Table; December: Holiday Activity; February: Office Mate Day, African-American Celebration; March: Community College Month Activity, Women's Month; April: office Professional's (Secretaries'Day Activity; May: M & M (Mastering Menopause)Workshop; June: Stress Kit Distribution; June/July: 2002 Office Olympics.

5. In-Active Senators Discussion took place in that some of the departments are not represented due to in-active Seantors. This issue will continue at our next meeting.

6. Meeting Schedule (thru the end of the year) Meetings scheduled as follows: August 24, 2001 Stanton Room A-116 September 28, 2001 Wilmington Room 214 October 19, 2001 Stanton TBA November 16, 2001 Wilmington Room 214 December 14, 2001 Stanton (Tentative) (All meetings @ 12 noon)

AT NEXT MEETING Date will be determined for Chair and Vice-Chair to switch positions.

APRIL 20, 2001 Minutes

1. The Advocate Compliments on the Advocate was extended to Catt Houser. Catt stated taht the Advocate would be incorporated into a Website eventually. The next Advocate is scheduled to be out in
August. Monica Staszesky suggested pictures of campus events would be very attractive.

2. Kiddie Korner An area has been designated for Kiddie Korner in the Admissions area. Kids will be entertained in the Kiddie Korner while students are filling out Applications, they will not be left unsupervised. Three chairs, a bookcase and a table is set-up in the location for this purpose.

3. Accreditation Pstsy handed out a form so that staff members could add their names to designated work groups.

4. Secretary's Day Staff Senate members from Stanton/Wilmington
delivered macroon cookies and chocolate to honor Secretaries and Support Staff.

5. Name Tags Were delivered to all.

6. Employee Recognition May 24 is scheduled for Employee Recognition Day.
