Mission Statement

The mission of the Wilmington Campus Teaching Resource Center is to promote excellence in instruction in order to enhance student learning. "The Center will give faculty the opportunity to be responsible for their own professional development through programs and activities designed by faculty to meet faculty needs thus promoting effective teaching and a quality education for students at the Wilmington Campus." Participation in Center activities will be on a voluntary basis. The goals of the Center are to:
  • Facilitate the continuing improvement of student development by organizing and conducting a variety of programs and activities for the faculty.
  • Provide opportunities for training and evaluation of alternative instructional systems.
  • Provide a location where instructional research data, state-of-the-art physical resources and current media resources are available for the use of the faculty.
  • Increase awareness of and sensitivity to the learning needs of an increasingly diverse student constituency.
  • Provide opportunities for members of different departments to interact and exchange ideas.
