What will I learn in the Delaware Tech program?
The graduate will be able to:
1. Utilize modern instruments, methods and standards to
interpret and edit construction drawings and documents.
2. Utilize modern accounting, construction and architectural
principles and practices to estimate material quantities and costs for construction projects.
3. Prepare and implement codes, contracts and specifications
in design, construction and inspection activities.
4. Employ the principles of leadership in the management of
construction projects.
5. Employ professional, ethical and legal standards and practices
in construction projects.
6. Employ productivity software to solve technical problems
and manage technical activities
7. Collect, organize and analyze data for building site
considerations including run-off analyses, subsurface soils classification and foundation recommendations, standard penetration tests, contour grades elevations, boundaries, etc., and prepare site plans for regulatory approval.
8. Demonstrate a professional attitude by working
efficiently in close cooperation with others, being adaptable to changes in plans and giving proper credit for assistance received through outside resources.
What Degree will I earn?
You will earn an Associates Degree in Construction Management.
When would I graduate?
You can enroll in the Construction Management Technology Program on either a full-time or part-time basis.
The length of time required to complete an associate degree depends on the number of courses you take each semester, but many students can finish their degree in as little as two years.
