To achieve their goal of a diploma, the students are required to assume all of the responsibilities for their training. The students must qualify for admission to Delaware Tech. They are to take the college's aptitude and placement tests and satisfy all entry requirements.
Another responsibility for students is to obtain employment at any automotive repair facility willing to help train the student. The main responsibility of the facility is to provide training related employment for the student during the work experience. The student may work part-time while attending classes providing it does not interfere with their studies.
In addition to the tuition, fees, and textbook costs, the student is also required to purchase a basic hand tool set if he/she does not already have one. Since the student earns while he/she learns, a considerable portion of the costs in the program are offset.
Delaware Tech is for the career-minded student. Success in the program calls for the investment of time and money, and a full-time commitment to both work and study for the length of training. The rewards far outweigh the costs. The credibility earned by achieving a diploma or degree opens many doors for the automotive technician.
THE DIPLOMA PROGRAM CAN BE EXPANDED INTO THE ASSOCIATE DEGREE! ALL CLASSES APPLY!
