The Manufacturing Process laboratory is equipped to provide a wide variety of machine shop learning activities for our students. Machining fundamentals are taught as an integral part of the Mechanical Engineering Technology and Engineering Drafting (CAD) programs. The shop normally accommodates 12 students per class. Credit courses taught include Modern Manufacturing Process, Advanced Manufacturing Process and Introduction to Computer Numerical Control (CNC).  The courses are very hands-on orientated, the students actually manufacture parts to specifications using the equipment listed below.

The laboratory is also used for the Machinist Training Certificate program and for specialized training for local industry.

The lab is equipped with the following equipment:

1          Haas CNC Vertical milling machine

1          Haas CNC horizontal lathe

9          Engine lathes

4          Bridgeport, vertical milling machines

5          Delta, variable speed floor drill presses

2          Do all, vertical band saws

5          Baldor, pedestal grinders

1          Kent, three axes feed surface grinder

1          Clausing, OD/ID grinder

1          Brown & Sharpe, Co-ordinate Measuring Machine

1          Rockwell, hardness tester

1          Lodge & Shipley  shear

1          Cincinnati  cutter grinder

1          Mitutoyo  optical comparator

1          Clausing  horizontal cut off saw

2          Rockwell  belt/disc sanders

1          Hardinge  2nd operation lathe

All necessary tools and tooling for normal operations
