FIRE PROTECTION NETWORKING --2003

April 22, 2003

Welcome

We invite you to attend and participate in an exciting, informative, and powerful gathering to learn about current events in our industry, and to network with the people who are in the know in the Fire Protection Community.

This year’s exciting lineup will focus on the events surrounding the World Trade Center tragedy of September 11th and our industry. Mr. Robert Duval of NFPA will present the facts about the buildings, their construction, the airplane impact, and the ensuing fire. Ms. Rita Fahy of NFPA will discuss the evacuation of the buildings with a history comparison to the 1993 bombing of the Towers. Lieutenant Fred Endrikat of Rescue 1 from the Philadelphia Fire Department will discuss the rescue operations that took place at the site.

In addition to the keynoted speakers above, we will again have a question and answer session open to the audience with a panel of industry leaders voicing their opinions on what is happening in our industry and where we are heading. Our special panel members this year are James Golinveaux with Tyco Products, Tom P. Field with Reliable Sprinkler; Dave Wismer P.E. C.B.O. from Phila. Licenses and Inspections, Bob Shewbrooks from Graduate Hospital, and Art O’Neil with the Noveon Company.

There will also be demonstrations of the Rescue 1 equipment, a mobile sprinkler and fire alarm training trailer, and an actual fire test of fire caulking products.

This event was put together by members of the following associations: The Philadelphia – Delaware Valley Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, the PenJerDel Chapter of the National Fire Sprinkler Association, the Hospital Fire Marshal’s Association, the Ben Franklin Chapter of the National Fire Protection Association, the Certified Fire Protection Specialists of the NFPA, the Mid Atlantic Chapter of the American Fire Sprinkler Association, the National Association of Fire Equipment Distributors, the American Society of Safety Engineers, International Fire Marshals Association, and the Automatic Fire Alarm Association.

Click here to see the agenda, written directions, and a map to the facility. Please respond by April 10th because seating is limited to the first 250 individuals.

Please come join us for a great day and support the industry that we work in and that saves lives!
