In order to fulfill the goals of the Bridges to the Baccalaureate Program, students must meet the following requirements to be eligible to participate:

• Be a student from a minority group that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) considers to be underrepresented in the biomedical science research arena of the nation and/or a population disproportionately affected by health disparities (including, but not limited to, African Americans, Latino/Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, and natives of the U.S. Pacific Islands)
• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Have a 2.75 GPA or higher
• Be a student enrolled in an applicable degree program at any Delaware Technical & Community College campus with at least two semesters of coursework remaining
• Plan to attend a 4-year baccalaureate institution following graduation from Delaware Technical & Community College, with the goal of pursuing an advanced degree
• Have a strong interest in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics career in which research is involved
