Paid research opportunities are designed to expose active Bridges students to the laboratory setting. Students are paired with sponsors at the University of Delaware (or other research facility) who will arrange independent projects or assign students to part of an ongoing laboratory effort. Past research performed by Bridges students has been in the fields of biological sciences, electrical and computer engineering, medical technology, and plant and soil sciences. For more information on the projects taking place, please visit the University’s research Web site.
Students have the opportunity to participate in research during the Fall and/or Spring semester(s) of their second year at Delaware Technical & Community College. Research opportunities during the Fall/Spring semester(s) require 6-10 hours per week. Full-time summer research opportunities are also available for students who would like to continue working in the labs from the previous Spring semester.
If you are interested in participating in this opportunity, please complete the application, along with a one-page (typed) statement that discusses your reasons for wanting to do undergraduate research. Completed applications must be returned to the Bridges Coordinator by the deadline.
