Welcome to our home page! Our Web site is designed to answer your questions and give you all the information you need about the three programs of study we offer: English as a Second Language, Spanish, and American Sign Language.
If you are interested in studying ESL, we offer courses from beginning to advanced levels. For those students who wish to continue their studies and pursue a degree program either at Delaware Tech or another college or university here in the United States, ESL 100 is designed to give you the background and skills necessary to be successful.
We offer four levels of Spanish. SPA 133 Using Beginning Spanish is designed for those who have never studied Spanish before. Spanish Communication I, II, and III give students the opportunity to develop their communication skills in preparation for an increasingly bilingual world. All of our Spanish courses can be transferred to other colleges and universities, such as the University of Delaware.
Students who wish to learn about American Sign Language and the deaf community can choose either our certificate program or diploma program. The certificate program concentrates mostly on the language of deaf Americans, while the diploma program includes courses in other fields and can transfer to other institutions as the beginning of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
Please refer to the specific program pages if you would like to know more, or contact us at w-languageandculture@dtcc.edu.
