The certificate program provides students with fundamental American Sign Language skills needed for communication with deaf people. Deaf Culture is a second essential area of study. The program is designed for persons whose personal or professional need to communicate with Deaf people requires a more than rudimentary signing ability. It can enhance the value of employees in social service, medical, educational or business settings.
