Why must I take the PSB Health Occupations Aptitude Examination?
At the Terry Campus, the PSB Health Occupations Aptitude Examination is used to asses your readiness for the Dental Hygiene and Paramedic Programs. (It is also used at other Delaware Tech Campuses for entrance into Allied Health Programs.at those campuses.)
What does the examination consist of?
The PSB Health Occupations Aptitude Examination consists of five parts: Academic Aptitude (verbal and non verbal), Spelling, Reading Comprehension, Information in the Natural Sciences, and Vocational Adjustment Index. For more detailed information on test contents, go to the PSB website.
What are the accepted forms of payment for the PSB Health Occupations Aptitude Examination?
Payment must be made by cash or check. Credit card applications cannot be accepted. No refunds can be issued after the end of the test registration period.
How many times can I take the PSB Examination?
There is no limit to the number of times you may take it.
What can I do to prepare for the examination?
The Assessment /Career Center has a set of "Specimen Questions" provided by the test publisher that will give you an idea of what the test questions consiist of. Essentially, brushing up on your reading, spelling, math, and science skills is the best way to prepare for this test.
