What is Food Service Training? |

The Child Nutrition Office within the Department of Education offers Child Nutrition Unit Training Courses to school employees, child & adult care food program employees, and residential child care institution employees who serve in the capacity of preparing meals for Delaware children.
The Unit Training Courses are offered in the Fall and Spring of each school year in New Castle, Kent and Sussex Counties. Units I, III, and V are offered in the Fall. Units II, IV and VI are offered in the Spring. Each 30-hour Unit meets one day per week, three hours per session for 10 weeks.
The Nutrition Supervisor of the employee(s) must submit names to the Coordinator of Corporate and Community Programs at Delaware Tech to enroll in the Unit Training Courses. All employees must register for Unit I and take subsequent courses in sequence. |
