What is Department of Labor Occupational Skills Training?

The Department of Labor (DOL) funds training programs for occupations that are in high demand. All residents of Delaware are eligible for training at no cost to them, but individual programs have specific requirements for acceptance. Interested individuals are invited to attend an Information Session to learn specific program dates, times, length and entrance requirements. Information Sessions are held each Monday at 1:30 p.m. Reservations are required. Please call 302-857-1400.

There are two sources of funding, state (Blue Collar) and federal (Workforce Investment Act or WIA). WIA program applicants must be certified as eligible by DOL. As a condition of acceptance, DOL requires that all program participants seek and attain full-time work. See program listing below.
