This course will prepare participants for entry into any other primary or secondary game. The first two weeks will concentrate on correct chip handling techniques, identifying the value of each color chip, learning to read the total value of a bet and proper pit procedures. You will also learn the roles of each position in the casino chain of command.
The second two weeks of the course will teach participants the fundamentals of dealing Blackjack. Participants will learn about the equipment used, the rules and objects of the game and the dealer and player positions. Emphasis will be placed on backing up the deck, card shuffling - the shoe, pitching, card placement and card totaling; payoff procedures, rules and techniques; and chip cutting and handling.
The course also covers proper procedures when faced with splitting pairs, doubling down, insurance, blackjacks, security, multi-hands and general game control. Special attention will be given to game and accounting procedures, accuracy and speed. Participants will also learn about customer issues, appearance, attitude and controlling the table.
