Licensing / Age Requirements

Must be a High School graduate

Must be the age of 21 by the date of their class graduation

Casino employees must be 21 years of age

Must be licensed by the Delaware Lottery for Dealer employment

License is not required of students attending class

Class graduation does not assure you will be licensed by the commission

Successful audition & offer of employment are needed to apply for a license

	Application for fingerprints, criminal background check & drug screening*
*	Failure to pass any one of the above may prevent you from registering or be grounds to be dismissed from the program

Course Selection Requirements for Dealers

To maximize your hiring potential, it is recommended that students follow these course selections:
	Introduction to Casino Games / Blackjack
	At least one other primary game required
	One or more secondary game(s) recommended

	Introduction to Casino Games / Blackjack	80 Hours
	Craps (Primary or Secondary)	160 Hours
	Poker (Primary or Secondary)	80 Hours
	Asian Poker (Secondary)	40 Hours
	Baccarat / Mini Baccarat (Secondary)	80 Hours
	Carnival Games (Secondary)	40 Hours
	Pai Gow Poker (Secondary)	80 Hours
	Pai Gow Tiles (Secondary)	80 Hours
	Roulette (Secondary)	80 Hours

How to Enroll

	A registration form and fee (one time payment) will be completed at the time of initial application.
	Tuition: Classroom instruction and Manuals
	Lab Fee: Use of mock casino, supplies, materials and mock casino practice time extend
	Students may enroll in person or by phone.

	Individual Course Certificates or Gaming Certificate Courses may be taken individually.
	Complete all six courses below and receive a Casino Games Certificate

Refund Policy

	Withdrawal prior to class start = 100%
	Withdrawal within first week of class = 50%
	Withdrawal after first week of class = No Refund

Practice Policy

Students enrolled will have access to the mock-casino during open lab hours for practice.

Placement

Placement assistance is offered to graduates. The staff maintains an ongoing dialogue with representatives from Delaware casinos in an attempt to determine current employment opportunities. Graduation from one of our training courses does not guarantee employment. Students will receive assistance in their job search if requested.

Test / Audition Out Procedure

If you have prior experience, have taken courses at other schools, or have a dated license from another State, you have the option to test/audition out of individual games.
