| CareerWise is a program for young adults who are seeking long term success and meet the following eligibility: |

Between the ages of 16 - 21 |
| |
Not currently enrolled in school, college, or training |
| |
Looking for a new start in life |

| |
| A High School diploma or GED is not required. |
|
| |
|
|
|
| Students in this highly individualized program have many options such as: |

Internet research |
 |
| |
Career counseling |
| |
Occupational skiils training |
| |
Aptitude and skills assessments |
| |
GED/diploma preparation (if needed) |
| |
Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite |
| |
Academic and workplace reading and math reviews |
| |
Referral to credit programs and financial aid programs |
| |
Tuition assistance in credit and job training programs |
| |
Seminars on employer expectations and other work-related topics |
| |
Career exploration and exposure (job shadowing, career ladder, and internships) |
| |

| Eligibility Criteria: |
| |
A low-income individual |
Homeless, runaway, or foster child |
|
| |
Deficient in basic literary skills |
An individual who requires additional assistance to complete an
educational program, or to secure and hold employment. |

A school dropout |
| |

|
|
| Attendance at information session and personal interview are required |
