The Human Service Technology programs at Delaware Technical & Community College provide the educational foundation needed for entry-level employment with the Human Services field and/or success in continued education at a baccalaureate level. The curriculum provides a strong theoretical and content foundation, along with an integrated experiential, skill development component.
The coursework provides a biopsychosocial perspective of human behavior, through a multidisciplinary approach that includes courses in psychology, sociology, biology, political science, and Spanish. In the core courses, you will learn about the historical and theoretical foundations of Human Services. You will also take courses that promote skill development, and courses that encourage ethical decision-making, personal awareness, and reflection.
