We are so glad that you are looking into becoming an allied health student. Dedicated, enthusiastic, caring and committed healthcare professionals are essential to the well-being of our community.

Although Delaware Technical & Community College has an open door admissions policy, there is an Allied Health Program Application process at Wilmington. There are a limited number of seats in each program. All admission procedures must be completed by February 1 of the year the student wishes to enter an allied health program.

At Delaware Tech, students are placed in the technology pool of interest. For example a student who is interested in Radiologic Technology would be placed in the Radiologic Technology Pool. Upon acceptance by the program the student's status changes from the technology pool to technology status.

*students who are interested in Medical Coding or Health Career Studies diplomas are placed in the Health Career Studies program prior to acceptance

Because Delaware Technical & Community College is a state-funded college, qualified in-state students are accepted into Allied Health programs prior to accepting any out-of-state students. Information regarding residence requirements is provided in the College Catalog and Student Handbook which are available from the Delaware Tech home page.

Students who are interested in one of the programs at the Wilmington location must attend an Allied Health Information Session. These sessions are offered once a month. View a list of the dates and times.
