Allied Health associates degree and diploma programs have an annual selective admission process. To be considered for admission, the student must achieve Cumulative and Math/Science GPAs of 2.0 or greater. In addition, they must successfully complete (āCā or better) at least one course in each subject: algebra, biology and chemistry * (high school or college) within the past five years. In addition, some programs require successful completion (āCā or better) of General Chemistry (CHM 110) within the past five years as a prerequisite for the program. Refer to specific program Recommended Course Sequence Sheets. Diploma programs have admission criteria that correlate with the associates degree programs. However, exceptions are noted in the Allied Health Application Process booklet provided at the Allied Health Information Session.
Bolded courses on the Recommended Course Sequence Sheet can be taken prior to admission to programs. Technology courses are sequential, offered only one time per year and are open to students who have been admitted into the program. RDG 120-Critical Reading and Thinking is a required course unless the student is exempt. Information provided on this website, especially related to curricula, is as current as the most recent website revision. However, when a student completes the Allied Health Program Application, the student should request a Recommended Course Sequence Sheet for the program of interest.
