Cisco Networking Academy Program

The advanced level of network training is completed in four courses. Prerequisite is CCNA certification and permission of the department chairperson or have completed the introductory program.

CIS 246 Networking III
This is an advanced course that teaches advanced routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP. Hands-on exercises are an integral part of the course. Five contact hours: three lecture hours, two laboratory hours.

CIS 247 Networking IV
This course is advanced router course that teaches remote-access such as ISDN and Frame Relay. Hands-on exercises are an integral part of the course. Five contact hours: three lecture hours, two laboratory hours.

CIS 248 Networking V
This course is an advanced switching course that includes VLANs and multicasting. Hands-on exercises are an integral part of the course. Five contact hours: three lecture hours, two laboratory hours.

CIS 249 Networking VI
This course is the last course in the series and focuses on troubleshooting internetworks. Hands-on exercises are an integral part of the course. Five contact hours: three lecture hours, two laboratory hours.

These courses include all of the material tested in the Cisco Certified Networking Professional test.
