The aim of the Writing Center is to assist students in becoming independent skilled communicators who are capable of comprehending, synthesizing, analyzing, criticizing, and revising their own work.
Writing Coaches are professional English instructors who are an integral part of the comprehensive support services offered by the Wilmington English Department. By directly assisting students with a variety of skills (organization, development, grammar and usage, unity, comprehension, and work attack skills), Coaches help students become skilled at all stages of the writing process.
