The National Writing Centers Association/International Writing Centers Association
The International Writing Centers Association, an NCTE Assembly, was founded in 1983 to foster communication among writing centers and to provide a forum for concerns. Comprising directors and staffs of writing centers at universities, two-year colleges, and public schools, the IWCA is governed by an Executive Board that includes representatives from the regional writing center organizations.
The IWCA website is http://writingcenters.org. It offers extensive resources to instructors and students of writing including online articles for writing instructors and writing coaches, ESL and LD resources, and online handouts on a number of grammatical and rhetorical issues.
The Wilmington Writing Center is a member of the IWCA and subscribes to The Writing Lab Newsletter which is available in the Writing Center (Room W268). Please feel free to read this material which must remain in the Writing Center.
